December 18 2007: Welcome this Christmas season!!.  Just  go through various gifts available on the shelf in any country- be it North America or Europe in the west or India in the East, you would see at least 80% of the stuff available on the shelf is Chinese.

Whether you are looking for toys as Barbie dolls or video games or even the artificial flowers, chances are that these all would be made in China. In talking Toys, from the accent of English, you would not have any problem finding out that even the English recorded speech is of Chinese worker. Taking case of  Electronic goods whether it is Apple’s iPod or Microsoft’s Xbox, these all would be of Chinese origin. If you are considering Clothing as a gift item, from the latest cashmere sweaters to gym suits, all are likely to don a “Made in China” label.

While real Christmas Trees grow in North America, these days the trend is catching up to gather around artificial Christmas Tree, which comes from China. Last year US imported plastic  Christmas Trees worth more than $110 million from China. Ironic it may seem, even nativity scenes painting sold in US, are made in China. No doubt, China has become workshop of the world.

Shifty of the trade to the east is almost complete, except in case of extreme hi-tech machines. Today Christmas is celebrated in both the West and in China albeit for different reasons. In China, for the record sales and profits and in the United States for the cultural reasons.
